Witness appeals, Fly tipping update and Smart alert tips

There are a few of incidents that have occurred across the area.

Upper Belgrave Road - Road Traffic Collison. 

We have received a few reports on Sunday 23rd August 2026 where there was a road traffic collision on Upper Belgrave Road at approximately 17:40pm. The incident happened between the two lines on this map.

Chaplin Road - Dangerous Driving. 

We have received a few reports on Sunday 23rd August 2026 in relation to a white Mercedes was driving dangerously and anti-socially on Chaplin road in particular between Furnace Road down to Hamilton Road at approximately 17:40pm - 17:50pm. The incident happened between the two lines on this map.

Whilst on patrol today I have attended Alexandra Road and have found some carboard that has been fly tipped. The council have received the report and are investigating this with a potential suspect for this. If they are proven to be them they will receive a maximum of £500 fine. 

Should anyone see anyone fly tipping in the area please report this to the council on there website. Or see any rubbish in alleyways, please report this to the council. This can be done anonymously.
